Few Tips For Quick Workouts on the Run
It is always recommended that every person gets at least 20 minutes of exercise a day. Again, this is the very minimum you should be getting. That 20 minutes can be split up into smaller sections if need be, or it can be done all at once. Those that can devote this much time to their fitness routine are consistently going to be healthier and happier.
One of the biggest things to keep in mind when you have only a short period of time to workout is that you need to be able to get in as high intensity of a workout as possible. Keep your momentum going and try to avoid taking extended breaks. This will give you the maximum in benefits.
Go for a quick run or jog if you’re pressed for time. This ensures that you are still moving your body, but not having to worry about not being able to get something high intensity in. It is quick and invigorating, as well. You can always take the scenic route home!
If you have a lunch break, you can work out then, you can also commute to work by foot if it is close enough. Both of these ensure that you get a workout in and you don’t have to sacrifice anything in between. An alternative is to go to bed earlier so you can wake up a bit earlier and workout. This is how many like to do it, yet some don’t like to sacrifice sleep for it.
Working out with friends is a great way to pass the time as well. You want to make sure to make this a pleasurable and enjoyable experience. When you are working out with someone, talking and laughing; you have an overall better time than if you were to just get it done. This, however, can make the time go by fast so you might make 20 minutes feel like 5.
Workout while you watch TV! You can do lunges, sit ups, pushups, curls and more all while catching up on your favorite television show. You don’t have to just sit around!
Have a little on you have to watch over? Go for a jog with the stroller? It doesn't have to be for 26.2 miles, but just start by getting out there and running around the block a handful of times to get that sweat in.
